CloudNews is a feed reader that syncs with the News app on your personal server.

Once you have logged in to your server, all feeds with be kept in sync between devices and also the web interface. Optionally supports sync on startup and in the background.

Read feeds conveniently by adjusting font size, line spacing, and margins. You can also go directly to the full web version of an article or use a built-in reader mode.

Easily view the web version of articles and share articles with several services.

But please make feeds affable via app and a bit more stability. Its great with own cloud news app to host my own google reader replacement! 5 stars will be given if the mentioned things are added/fixed ;)

I little bit rough around the edges, but overall a great app to get to your feeds on your phone.

sometimes a little bit buggy - because only four stars -, but it works well, the support it good and fast. So if have owncloud it a good extension. But you need to activate news in owncloud

Ive been using this app with different versions of ownCloud and it has always been working smoothly. If there is any issue, the author provides immediate feedback via github.

Some bad moments

How refreshing to find a simple, yet elegant app that works with the feeds I have put on ownCloud. I am impressed with the layout of this app. Depending on how I’m using the swipe gestures, I can potentially see all three panes at once (feed list, articles list, and part of the actual article). It makes for easy navigation and helps me to see my available options. I was considering another feed reader app, but it didn’t have a version for the iPhone and I want to be able to read from whatever device I have at the time (iPhone or iPad). Nor did this other app sync with ownCloud. Great job so far Peter! I look forward to future enhancements.

This is well worth the download if you use the ownCloud news reader. A "tap and hold" to star or swipe left to star would be great. This is WAY better than trying to use the news reader in a mobile web browser, I use this every day. Thanks for the great app!

Would like it even more if article titles wrapped vs truncated. Works in landscape, just not in portrait mode. Speedier than the ttrss readers Id been using.

Ive been using this app for a few weeks now and I must say Im impressed. Owncloud itself is wonderful but native apps on my mobile device to interact with it make it all the better. Keep up the great work, looking forward to new features!

Not having a solid RSS reader has been a bummer for me since google reader got the axe. Ive tried other solutions like reeder and feedly and always had problems with syncing or a version being deprecated or something else. I could never get past the hump of integrating a tool into my workflow. There are features Id like to see, but the core functionality is solid enough that Im sold. The fact that the server is mine (feature of owncloud, not this app specifically), means that I can customize and add on features as needed.

I reinstalled this app after removing it many months ago. This new version has improved and is now my preferred way to read my rss news feeds.
